This document is important because it describes the part of the AN/PVS-14 that allows it to work as a night vision device.
M-110 BoltThis is a copy of the patent for the bolt of the M-110. It was submitted on February 4, 1999 and was accepted on April 4, 2000. This document describes the improvements made to previous semi-automatic bolts to reduce stress on the bolt. This is important because reducing stress on the bolt increases the life of the weapon and allows the action to run smoother allowing the M-110 to be a more durable, reliable weapon.
M82A1 Shock DampenerThis is a copy of Barrett's patent on the shock dampener used in their high caliber sniper rifles. This patent was submitted on January 19, 2011 and was accepted on June 26, 2012. This document describes the function of the barrel mounting on the weapon's function of absorbing the shock caused by the weapon being fired. This document is important because it allows the shooter to fire the weapon more comfortably allowing them to get more shots off.
Gas Tappet ImprovementThis is a copy of the patent for a gas tapent improvement for the M-16 and M-4. This patent was submitted on August 21, 2009 and was accepted May 22, 2012. The document describes improvements being made to the gas tappet to improve the shell ejection process. This document is important because it will allow the M-16 and M-4 to operate more efficiently while still maintaining the same feel of the rifle.

World War IImproved Machine Gun PatentThis is a copy of Hiram Maxim's original Improved Machine Gun patent. It was submitted on March 31,1896 and was accepted on March 13, 1897. This patent detailed the many improvements that had to be made to the machine gun with the introduction of smokless cartridges. This is an important document because it details Hiram Maxim's most improved product of his original machine gun.
1911 PatentThis is a copy of the original patent of John Browning's 1911 pistol . The patent was submitted on February 17, 1910 and was accepted on February 14, 1911. It described the original design of the 1911 including the semi-automatic action of the opening chamber to eject the shell and simultaniusly cocking the hammer and chambering another round. This is an important document because it gives details on the first semi-automatic pistol that follows todays designs.
BAR PatentThis is a copy of John Browning's original patent for the Browning Automatic Rifle. It was submitted on August 1, 1917 and was accepted on February 4, 1919. This patent detailed the improvements made to Browning's original machine gun to make it lighter, able to fire a higher caliber military round and be durable enough to be carried around by an infantry man. This is an important document because it gives the details about the first shoulder fired machine gun.
Hiram Maxim's ExhibitionHiram Maxim's Exhibition was on November 3, 1894. It included a tour of Maxim's workshop, the unveiling of Maxim's flying machine, and the firing of Maxim's machine gun. The flying machine did not really fly in the sense of what the Wright Brothers did instead it had a track on top and a track on the bottom. The rig weighed three and a half tons and was horribly unstable. The point of the rig was to prove that he could establish positive lift. This document is a program from the event and it is important because it shows that Maxim was not just a wepons inventor but an all around inventor.
